Yoga is intimacy and integration. Developmentally, we rely on others’ seeing us in order to grow and come to know ourselves.

  • Practicing with Erika is like going on a journey. She has a unique way of showing us what she is processing and turns that into a masterfully sequenced practice journey. I used to refer to her as the professor because her classes were so incredibly thoughtful, so creative, a consummation of body-mind. Then, as we all went thru Covid, the practice changed to something way deeper, more experiential, more soma. We practiced under the canopy of a grove of redwoods. they taught us as much as she did. She taught us what she was learning from them. Then they burned and we fell apart, and then we fell back together into something deeper even. Every month Erika emerges with more depth, more ability to deeply connect and share from her own experience, and, as she shapes the water, the earth, the fire and the air of us, we become more elemental. We become more ourselves.

  • “Erika’s teaching style is mature and meaningful. She is comfortable guiding her students into the discomfort of changing our restrictive patterns. Her slow exploration of the body through yoga philosophy is deeply healing.”

    -Ritu Goswamy

  • “Erika’s teaching has been therapeutic for me for so many years in so many ways. Most recently, I took her Hips and Core course and had a big a-ha moment with twists, which previously had been identified as wrenching my lower back. Somehow, I was able to do it differently (I'm not sure exactly what I was doing but I understand now the feeling I'm going for). That was a huge breakthrough for me.”

About Erika

Writer, mover, swimmer, plant-whisperer, dog-lover, teacher. These are some of the words that describe me. My interest in yoga these days is less centered on a particular method or style of practice, and more on embodiment as a wholistic practice of being here. I have yet to find a better way of finding clarity of mind than moving my body in a mindful, intentional way. My classes are offered with the same intention: an invitation to feel, a playful exploration of the senses, and a radical act of caring for ourselves and by extension, everything and everyone we impact.
